The Claymont Mansion’s Annual Holiday Open House & Tour

Join us as Charles Town’s Claymont Mansion will host its annual Holiday Open House Tour on Saturday, December 14th and Sunday, December 15th, both days from 1:00 to 4:00pm.
The Historic Georgian-style Mansion was the home of
Bushrod Corbin Washington, the grand-nephew of George Washington. The Mansion was built in 1820 and is listed on the National Historic Register. It is the grandest of the Washington Family homes.
This year’s Open House will kick off the 200th Anniversary of the Claymont Mansion. A self-guided historical tour of the Mansion will be offered, as well as light refreshments.
Come have cup of hot cider and enjoy the history and festive decorations on display. A suggested donation of $5 will help support the ongoing restoration effort.
