On Saturday and Sunday, May 27 and 28, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Harpers Ferry National Historical Park will present a special program, “
Defend and Protect: Arming America’s Soldiers.” This program will highlight Harper Ferry’s gun-making industry and the field-use of those weapons. Park rangers and volunteers dressed in civilian and military costumes will staff special event displays. A special tour and historic weapons firing demonstration will occur each day.
