Jefferson County Museum Historian Doug Perks to Show Vintage Photos of Jefferson County

The Jefferson County Museum invites the public to a free presentation of vintage photographs by the museum’s historian Doug Perks at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the Old Opera House, 204 N. George Street, Charles Town. The slide show and talk, Changing Faces – From the Air, will feature aerial photographs from the museum’s collection to illustrate changes in Jefferson County from the 1950s to the present. Light refreshments will be served.

The Jefferson County Museum was founded in 1965 with the mission to preserve the history and heritage of the county. Its extraordinary collection encompasses a wide range of artifacts reflecting the events and the lives of the people of Jefferson County from early Native American activities to the settlements of the 1700s through the 21st century.
