This program meets the criteria for (2) contact hours established by the WV Board of Registered Nurses Provider Registration Number WV 1997-0136. RN.

Hospice of the Panhandle is a WV Social Work Category I CEU provider (490109) and this program is being offered for two (2) Category One Social Work Continuing Education Credits.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM & PRESENTER

Jill Finkle, Suicide Prevention Coordinator, VAMC received her Bachelor’s degree of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburg and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Temple University in Pennsylvania. Ms. Finkle provided psychotherapy to the Chambersburg community for 18 years specializing in family services. In 2017, Ms. Finkle accepted the position as the Suicide Prevention Coordinator for the Martinsburg VA Medical Center.

Jennifer Kelley, LICSW, LCSW-C received her Bachelor’s degree of Art in Psychology from West Virginia University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. Ms. Kelley began providing psychotherapy in a non-profit mental health center for over 3 years until she transitioned to the Suicide Prevention Team at Martinsburg VA Medical Center.

Objectives:
1. You will have a general understanding of the scope of suicide within the United States.
2. You will know how to identify a Veteran who may be at risk for suicide.
3. You will know what to do when you identify a Veteran at risk.
